How to Select a Fiber Optic Polarizer
Choose a fiber optic polarizer by wavelength, extinction ratio, fiber path and package size.
Use this guide when the application or some target parameters are known but the final component specification still needs to be narrowed before RFQ.
Selection logic
Match the wavelength
Start with 532/633 nm for visible systems or the mini 1064/1310/1550 nm family for telecom and laser wavelengths.
Check extinction ratio
Use the listed ER values to confirm that the standard device meets the polarization requirement.
Choose the fiber path
Confirm whether the device is SM→SM, SM→PM or PM→PM.
Check package size
Use the mini series when compact integration matters.
Quick comparison
