Mini vs Standard Fiber Optic Polarizer

Choose a mini polarizer when package size is the primary constraint; choose the standard visible-wavelength polarizer when 532/633 nm operation is required.

Use this guide when the application or some target parameters are known but the final component specification still needs to be narrowed before RFQ.

Selection logic

Check wavelength first

The mini polarizer covers 1064, 1310 and 1550 nm. The standard visible-wavelength polarizer covers 532 and 633 nm.

Then check package size

The mini family uses a compact cylindrical package, while the visible-wavelength product uses a larger rectangular package.

Confirm fiber path

SM→SM, SM→PM and PM→PM configurations are available in the product data.
