N×1 vs (6+1)×1 Pump Combiner
Choose pump-only combining or pump-and-signal combining based on the fiber-laser architecture.
Use this guide when the application or some target parameters are known but the final component specification still needs to be narrowed before RFQ.
Selection logic
Pump-only architecture
Use N×1 when multiple pump inputs are combined into one output fiber without a separate signal input.
Pump + signal architecture
Use (6+1)×1 when the design requires six pump ports plus one signal path into a common output.
Confirm fiber and power
Pump fiber, signal fiber, output fiber, per-pump power and package are engineering-review parameters.
