PM Filter WDM vs PM Fused WDM
Choose between filter-based and fused PM WDM families by wavelength pair, power, package and required isolation/loss.
Use this guide when the application or some target parameters are known but the final component specification still needs to be narrowed before RFQ.
Selection logic
Start with the wavelength pair
Check whether the required pump/signal pair exists in the standard product data.
Then compare optical requirements
Insertion loss, isolation and power handling differ by WDM construction and wavelength pair.
Use the closest standard configuration
If your wavelength pair is not listed, use the closest family only as a starting point and submit the exact pair for engineering review.
